BIOGRAPHY

Gloria Deitcher, a Montreal-born artist, studied printmaking and painting and earned an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree from Rutgers University. She later moved to New York City, where she developed a strong interest in video-performance art. She founded D-Visions Gallery, curated international video festivals, and taught video art at the University of Vermont. Her work has been widely exhibited across Canada, Europe, and New York City, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal and Princeton University Art Museum.

She has received major grants such as the Canada Council Arts Grant and a New York State Council of the Arts Grant. In recent years, Deitcher has taught art to schoolchildren in various NYC neighborhoods and continues to live in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
